Researching and gathering material from books
Due to my project being both digital publishing and moving image I needed to explore both aspects and do the same amount of research for each side of the project. For my written side I decided the best way would be to go through old writings of my own and evaluate and disect them and also go through other writings. I did this by gathering 3 main books which were
-Milk and honey by Rupi Kuar
-Planting gardens in graveyards by Rh Sin
-101 essays that will change the way you think by Brianna Wiest
The way I decided to use these books to not only get research for poetry but I also used it as a way to inspire me and my writings when it came to my fmp. For example with the 101 essays book I decided to highlight everything which stuck out to me and I agreed with. Luckily I did this before even starting my fmp with no clue that it would come to such use to me. As you can see below these are some of the main things which I picked out for inspiration.
I also did this with Milk and Honey and Planting Gardens In Graveyards however instead of highlighting I took photos of my favourite poems.
