FMP 2021

For my FMP I will be creating a hardback visual poetry book with an audio version of the book also. The reasoning behind this choice of project is due to my love for poetry and photography and I would love to combine the two together to make my written work give a message not just through words but via a visual presentation too, a photograph or an illustration. I think this will convey the messages which I want to put across even more as I would like my main topics to be heartfelt and all about the emotions of life. My target audience is teenagers and young adults as being a teenager myself I feel like I can write and capture feelings of that age group. I will need to research and think about whether my poems are going to be personal, like diary entries or from a 3rd person perspective. The audio version of my book is going to be accesible via a QR code which will direct people to an audio site and allow them to easily access the spoken word version of the poetry. I have decided to include this in my idea also because I know the majority of people are very busy in their day to day lives and simply may not have the time to read and would much rather listen. Some people also prefer listening rather than reading in general and while listening they can always flick through the book and look at the photographs while the audio is playing. Having done a spoken word poetry film for my FMP last year I have got a good understanding of how I should record and present. Due to me being the author or the poemsI personally believe I will be able to speak them the best and convey the emotions more where needed as they are personal to me.
